The PPS Group Adds Lexington Sales Office High, 39, has served as General Manager and Executive Producer of Lexington based Mr. High has been the driving force behind Lexington based series programs such as “Uniquely Bluegrass” and “Kentucky History Minute” on WKYT-TV, and most recently for “Business Lexington” on KET as a co-producer and features reporter. He also co-hosted the statewide Ohio PBS program “Our Ohio” in 2006-2007. In 2001, High was Director of Sales and Program Moderator for Lexington’s Wyncom Inc, hosting and co-producing worldwide satellite broadcast teleconferences for such notables as Dr. Stephen Covey In 2008, High was executive producer of the KET documentary “Bourbon and Kentucky: A History Distilled” and was associate producer for the film “Nick Nolte: No Exit” screened at the Cannes Film Festival marketplace in May 2008. He is co-owner of documentary content through his “Witnessing History” label, having produced the Civil War broadcast and DVD program “Retreat from Gettysburg” in 2008. Doug also serves as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy Reserve assigned as a Public Affairs Officer to the 6th Fleet Public Affairs HQ, Naples Italy. He served four years at Naval Media Center in Washington, DC and has been decorated with the Navy Achievement Medal on three occasions since joining the service in 2002. Bird says, “Adding Doug to head our Lexington office allows PPS to open new markets and expand operations into previously untapped regions”. High will develop and manage accounts for PPS in Lexington, Louisville, Cincinnati, Columbus, Indianapolis, Knoxville, Atlanta and Nashville, with the post production work completed at the PPS facility in Covington, Kentucky. High will focus on developing corporate video production projects, but will also work with select advertising agency business and new broadcast production programming as well. Doug resides in Lexington with his wife Lyssa and four year old son, Jackson.
